I wanted to learn to sew so I purchased the cheapest fabric I could find to practice. I thought the houndstooth was kind of fun too. I had quite a lot of trouble sewing straight but that was the point of practicing! I also couldn’t get the waist band right so I just sewed it as a hem because it was stretchy enough to still fit that way.
Pink/white houndstooth pattern. Unknown fibre—slightly stretchy though
I also bought some cheap cute star buttons on ebay which I put down the front so it’s easy to tell the front from the back.
