This is the first dress I’ve ever made and I think it turned out pretty alright.
Based off the “tank dress with gathered skirt” pattern from burdastyle.
I found this fabric at a thrift store for $2 and there was so much I decided to use it to make a dress. There’s probably even enough to make another. The only flaw is the arm holes are a little tight and the bust is a little loose. But this was really just a practice. Ill be making plenty more for summer!
Basic cotton materials for outer and lining.

Gorgeous – and the fabric goes really well with this pattern. Maybe for the next time use first of all basting thread to sew the dress (by hand). If need be make adjustments and then sew it “seriously” with the machine. The adjustments you do have to be done on the pattern as well and the next dress then can be sewn directly. :) You can do it, no doubt.
