My version of the Parisian Jacket from the book: Sew Serendipity by Kay Whitt.
Alterations: added a full lining, long sleeves, added a dart in the back bodice to make it more fitted, lengthened by 5 inches, added 3rd button tab in front, bottom was pleated and not gathered, and added a self-drafted removable hood.
I am so thrilled this coat is finished! It turned out just as I hoped. I could have made it a touch larger than my muslin to account for the thicker layers but I did not. It is no too small but I definitely would not want it any smaller.
100% wool in grey and robin’s egg blue basket weave. 100% silk lining with cotton contrast bias tape. Interlined with cotton flannel for warmth
