Description

This is NOT a new project-only way I could alter method of construction-drafting help from Burda! Sorry!

This was not as easy as making a skirt from jeans. I cut the legs from a man’s pair-kept two original seams & added four more of my own flat felled (favorite seam procedure!) I used Burda #8179 as inspiration. A zipper, railroad ticking and a thrift store harness completed the project. I ink jetted a “Save the Walrus” label for fun.
I added darts for shaping, but it sort of hangs like fisherman overalls, which makes it more comfy to wear.
I chose to edit this because I wanted to add the Burda pattern info credit.

Material Notes

Old men’s jeans, ticking, zipper, thread, pewter look buttons, baby harness findings, elastic and fun!
