Finished my jacket…with a Floating Flower Scarf made from vintage veiling and hand cut flowers from silk dupioni, all layered with free motion embroidery to hold it all together.

Such a beautiful color. Love this one. One question: what is the frilly stuff around the neckline, a scarf? Is it part of the coat or an accessory? Anyway, very nice work.

Hello and thank you! It’s a scarf! I cut out embroidered flowers and vines from a piece of silk duppioni, then layered them between vintage millinery tulle. I was going to put them on the jacket, but I really liked that I could wear it without the scarf too, so I just let it be. You can see it better in the second picture. Sometimes creations have a definidte point of view! :)
