This is my entry tot he Tessuti Gridlock competition. I’m only a beginner so I don’t know what possessed me to enter, but I enjoyed the challenge!
It is made from a self drafted pattern, the inside is not lined but all the seams are bound in bias binding. The neckline, arm holes and hem is also bound with bias binding, although it’s only visible on the inside at the neckline. It also has hidden side-seam pockets. I tried to keep them really hidden so the lining can only be seen about an inch into the pocket. I’ve used the other side of the fabric for a strip at the shoulder, and used a metal zip which goes almost all the way down the back of the circle skirt. I’m quite proud of it, as it felt like a lot of work went into it.
