Burda Style For people who sew

Finally I have one of my own. Actually it was made almost a month ago but I took pictures just today :)
This is completely my idea and design. I was glad I find the model in Burda magazine that I could adopt to my idea.
I love the asymmetric collar. I was afraid it would not look so effective in real life. But it turned out to be right as I dreamed!
I love WHITE COATS! So happy I have mine too! :)))
I covered the big button by myself, thanks a lot for milkyways tip to make it! xo
And also I used a chain for the other (hidden) smaller button.
I uploaded the model I used as a basic for the coat. The collar was constructed by me separately.
The grey jacket is Mod. 106 09/2007
I changed it a lot, especially the back. It was extremely wide and sleeves were too small and tight… etc…

Wow, Olya! Love that asymmetric collar and 3/4 sleeves! You’re looking so elegant in the coat, especially with those gloves. I have a really nice pattern for some jacket, I might use your idea and alter the collar in a similar way – it would look perfect.

Oh my god!!! this coat is absolutely gorgeous!!! is very retro and so stylish, you are very talented. The big covered buttons looks very neat as well as the button hole. Gorgeous creation, you look like a diva!! great gloves too
