A variation of See & Sew 5469 I made from beautiful retro print patchwork fabric. Very fun to twirl in!
I omitted the cap sleeves and made the skirt out of the remaining fabric because I was about a metre short. This worked out well, because the fabric is quite heavy (as all good patchwork fabrics should be) and wouldn’t have sat quite as nicely if it were gathered as heavily as the pattern suggested. This is a great project for beginners, very quick and easy (apart from the many, many buttonholes, which my mum did because I ran out of time and had to go back to uni). I’m planning on making one with the sleeves in a soft blue fabric with black buttons :D
Material Notes
Patchwork fabric; cream buttons; metal snaps

I love it!!! Looks unique and retro and has character and looks flattering even if one is carrying a few extra pounds (e.g. me) I would love to get the pattern.

Thanks keren! I think it’s one of those styles that suits everyone. I did a quick search, and the only place I could find the pattern is here: http://patternstash.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=4728333. I’m sure there are other places!
The skirt is just a big, big rectangle, and the bodice is very simple, so it might be worth trying adapt another pattern to suit :)

Very pretty! I love the subdued but at the same time bright colours of the material, and the style is really nice and fits you so well. Hope you get loads of use from it!
