The last two pieces of the 10-piece travel set are done! I hope you are not getting tired of my excitement – it isn’t that I can’t find plenty of “faults” in my execution, but I find the patterns themselves so cool that I can look right over those…
A funny thing about this “finale”: I always called it the “ten piece travel set”, while the magazine actually says: “I’m leaving for 10 days”…
I was always looking forward to making that cute romper as the last piece, only to find out when I got to it: they make it in two parts: shorts and top! That would have made it an 11-piece set! I decided to make it a one-piece, because I had already gotten so used to the thought of it – and I don’t regret it. I find it even cooler to spend a day at the beach or so in this romper (made of cotton, unlined, so you stay nicely cool), and then just pulling the skirt over it, maybe add some pearls and voil, you can go have a drink at a nice cocktail bar! Oh yes, I have this vacation all planned out!
If you want to be even more elegant, you pull out the corsage jacket, made of a beautiful blue silk… they suggest wearing this for a walk in the park.
I put the pictures all together for an overview, and also added some more combinations for you to see how well it all goes together. I can’t believe I managed to find all these fabrics! Maybe that was the hardest part…
These pieces can all be worn with modern clothes too, the tops look great with jeans, the blazer too, and the skirts with regular modern t-shirts or blouses…

I love the beautiful blue jacket! And the older stuff I already said I loved the first time I saw them! Great job and wonderful work!!

Thank you so much, your comments always honor me. I know what you mean about “naive” and it is what I loved about this project, too. What a nice “trip” it was. I am a bit sad it’s over and don’t know how I can go back to making single pieces :-)
