The backs are made of soft fleece and the fronts are any softly draping scrap fabric.

When I saw this I immediately thought that a similar scarf or wrap could be made using the old type head squares. I have a bagful in the attic and they sell for pennies at the charity shops ! I have used head squares to make interesting cushions too.
