I made this dress for my baby for new years eve :-)
we had New years eve party in Marriot and eve theme was French party :-) so we had to match with it :-)
its first time when I used sequins fabric. I made the top side in sequins and satin sleeve. the finishing for neck line its made in satin ribbon, sequins are not friendly on skin, so I had to take care to not touch baby’s skin in any part. The skirt side its made using a technique that I saw here on burdastyle, I loved it since I saw it :-) to not simply sew the fabric I added some small pearls under.
For the bodice I used burda pattern 6/2010.
the lining for the top of the dress its made in cotton jersey and for arms finishing I added satin band to protect baby’s skin from sequins.
for shoes I made her small flowers from sequins and silver tape on the belt that was too ugly to leave it like that.
the detail for this dress were the pearls that I used :-) in front of the dress I added a broach with made in satin and pearls.
she was the princess of the eve, she had fun and danced most all time :-)
happy new year!!!!!!
