Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Except for the pink leather, every part of the bag was made from recycled materials: black leather (old men s jacket, zipper and magnetic snap from an old bag, lining from the pants that don t suit me any more, (the inner little pocket for cell phone comes from the little pocket of the pants), coin shaped metal parts are from an old bracelet. I m happy how it turned out if I forget the little mistake I made one front pleat, beh…my design

PS. Do you use an industrial machine? I’d like to work with leather, but not sure my old sewing machine would handle it!

I m only using only my old machine, i don t have any troubles in sewing, the only tricky part is when it comes to handles because there are so many 8? layers of leather and i m a bit scared of damaging it, fortunately it s ok till now. Thanks for the comment:))

Thanks for the comment, it s pity that we forget in garage or throw away precious leather. I added one tutorial (the first one,lool) for very simple leather recycling project that doesn t even include sewing, just gluing:) check on my blog if you like:)

This is great! Georgous! Makes me want to go through all the bags of jackets in our garage and find some jackets to turn into bags. I love the design of the black over the pink too!
