The beginning of the story was that Philomena made her awesome hats and also posted some instructions. As a result I finished my first felted hat ever… looks like a 1920s hat, doesn’t it? ;-)

Ich kann leider nicht alle Links öffnen. Hast Du Dich genau an Philomenias Angaben gehalten wie Wolle, Nadelstärke und Maschenzahl? Wenn ich das richtig erkennen kann, hast Du den hellen Rand abgeschnitten. Also wieviel Reihen hast Du abgeschnitten? Sorry, viele Fragen – aber wie gesagt, filzen ist für mich völliges Neuland, aber ich bin schon ganz aufgeregt… :-)

Ich habe genau die gleiche Wolle verwendet wie sie aber ich stricke sehr locker und hab mit Nadelstärke 7 statt 9 gearbeitet. Mein Exemplar war am Ende unten gemessen 5cm schmaler als das von Petra aber für meinen sehr kleinen Kopf immer noch sehr groß, also es hätte nicht kleiner werden dürfen.
Probier einfach aus…
Ps: Ich würde beim nächsten Mal vom fertigen Schnitt ausgehen udn mit Dreisatz 40% Schrumpfrate zurechnen denke ich.

Die deutsche Anleitung von Philomenia habe ich mir schon ausgedruckt. Ich dachte nur, da Du eine ganz andere Form und den Hut auch kleiner gemacht hast, hast Du vielleicht andere Angaben für mich. Jetzt habe ich erstmal 2 Messen an den nächsten beiden WE’s und danach muß ich dringend loslegen. Ich werde dann berichten… Ich sage nur schon mal DANKE an Euch beide für diese grandiose Anregung.

Der Filz wird von Hand geformt, deshalb muss die Anleitung nicht sooooo genau sein.
