Description

I made these faux taxidermy fish ornaments for a store in Minneapolis called I LIKE YOU. The fish are made from felt stuffed with polyester fill and wire (in the tail for shape). I made a drawing of a fish to create a simple pattern. The fins and gills were free handed. Once you have a base fish pattern the possibilities are endless. I would like to make some with rows of scales attached (maybe a rainbow fish would be nice or some shimmery fabric scales).

Material Notes

felt, vintage buttons, wood plaque, ribbon, acrylic paint

So great! I love the bold colours and texture. I don’t like fish, but I’d hang these on my wall! :)
