Every time I’m planning a trip the first thing I think of is what kind of purse I’m going to take. Then I end up making a new one that will be ideal for it. This 7 pocket purse will be flying to Europe with me in a few weeks. I like that it’s lightweight and soft so it can be easily packed. The fabric adds to its light weight but has a realistic leather look. The chunky chain links aren’t real metal either! There’s a lot of “faux” here. I top stitched seams with silver metallic thread to pick up the other silver accents. My bag looks nothing like the bags on the Simplicity pattern envelope I used, partly because I altered the pattern, building in my own design ideas. I’ve shared them on my web page. If you’re interested click on the “BAG” link below or go to www.domestic-divaonline.com and click on Diva’s Closet. Click the purse image at the top of the page.

Adriana – how good it is to hear your voice again. I too have been absent from Burda for a very long time… So long that when I returned I didn’t remember my log in name! I am still very busy with my projects but things are not as hectic as they were the last half of 2012. i hope to be checking in here occasionally. Thank you for your generous comments about my bag. Warm wishes to you my friend. X0X0X0
