I never worked with real leather before but I wanted to practice with the fake stuff. So I made this simple A-line shift using the Mila pattern. The Mila pattern can be downloaded for free and I used it years ago so I am using it again without the center detail. The bust portion I kept having to take in even though I cut a size 34. I don’t know if the pleather just kept stretching with use or what. And the skirt portion is obviously the boucle fabric. I serged the edges of the boucle after cutting the pieces because it frays quite easily. Also, this dress is lined.
I’m happy with it. Thanks for checking it out.
