I’ve been really digging the handpainted fabrics I’ve been seeing lately, but my lazy self has once again found an easy way out! I was happy to come across this cotton fabric designed by Marie Kelzer that has the look of hand painting. I used Built By Wendy 3692, adding some lace trim beneath the yoke and around the armholes. I attempted to do some decorative topstitching on the bias binding around the armholes — but look how messy and crooked it turned out! eeesh. I’m just gonna pretend that I meant to do it that way. ;) The pattern didn’t include a belt, but I made one out of the same fabric as the yoke.

This is so beautiful. good job for trying out that decorative topstitching, even if it didn’t turn out how you’d expected this time!
