This is one of the looks I used in my recent student collection, “A Modern Medieval Fairytale.” My inspiration for the collection was posed by the question, “What would medieval fairies wear today?” The theme for the show this year was “Time” and designers were asked to re-interpret time periods.
This is a faux fur throw-on coat with black suede silver studde trim and a royal blue velvet dress that is also studded. The dress has a cowl neck, sleeveless, and has a deep V-cut open back with a chain across the back of the neck. The dress is on the short side and I intended it to be that way. It’s my “Medieval Ke$ha Club Dress,” hahaha. The purse was created by Megan for the collection. The back shot of the garment is a runway photo from the show.
