I loved this dress when I saw it on an episode of Fashion Star. I was thrilled to see McCalls is doing patterns from some of the show designs. When you open the pattern the direction sheet shows other option ideas with the pattern, it has a front panel which you could do in another fabric to add a contrast, you can make several tops from this pattern too. The dress is much cuter on a person then the dress form. The pattern is McCalls 6553

This dress doesn’t need to be lined. The fabric I used isn’t see through its a light weight suiting. The dress can be tied in the front or tied to the back. It’s just a fun dress :-).
