I designed this skirt for a blog review on the Mom-a-Logues blog. I love making things out of pieces of my favorite colorful prints. We have a lot of quilters in our family, and I think this skirt reflects that. I added the owl lovey that I designed, in the pocket. I think it is a fun addition for the child who wears the skirt. (My girls love the owls and always ask me to make more for them, even though they have several.) First, I serged the pieces together, then topstitched along the seam. The waist is elasticized and I added some tulle to the hem to make twirling even more fancy and fun.
