Fancy Tea Dress

This meadow print wrap dress is made from a thrifted vintage bed sheet. It’s the second one I’ve made from a lovely 50s pattern, and I lovelovelove it! It was a super last minute project that I stayed up way too late sewing, to wear to a fancy-dress tea party with my daughter. So worth a sleepless night!

Material Notes

cotton bed sheet

Stunning-est thing I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait for you to make another iteration of this pattern— it just keeps getting better and better!

This is BEAUTIFUL! I love the fabric (what a cool bedsheet!) and the dress looks great on you! I totally get the last minute thing – I don’t think I can count the number of times I’ve had to safety-pin a dress because I’ve not quite finished it…!!

Thanks so much! I was worried that the fabric would be too much for a dress.
lol – safety pins are a seamstress’s best friend!

gorgeous dress and wow on the fabric. I’d love to get my hands on some vintage sheets. I’ve got vintage curtains though to make a jacket x
