I wanted a bag that I could take to the theater or to a fancy gathering but at the same time not be completely over the top. I think I managed it with this bag. :^D I apologize for the pictures, but I was reduced to take a close up photo with my phone. As my phone’s 2 years old, the camera’s not all that great with close ups. Thus, it’s a little difficult to see the black ruffles coming down from the maroon flower on the front of the bag. Plus, I’m having to use a different computer than normal, and I’m a little unfamiliar with Linux. X_X I promise to fix the pictures and update stuff as soon as everything’s back to normal! Anyway, my favorite part? Definitely the closure! I managed to make a knot out of some red cord that I have and make a ribbon, button-hole loop for it! I just wish that I’d been able to hide the inside of the knot better. (Thankfully most people won’t be that close.)
All upcycled! I used black chiffon for the outside and red cotton for the inside/lining. Red cord and ribbon was used for the closure while more ribbon was used for a bias binding/hem and straps. Part of an old t-shirt was used to make the maroon flower.
