Description
Drafted this princess line dress for a wedding dinner. While I was adjusting the fit, I thought hey the back looks kinda nice being opened, so I made the “collar” flaps for it in contrasting black. In hindsight, it would’ve been better if I had made the piece as a real collar piece instead of attaching it the faux way hee hee hee..
A plain dress like this might need more help in the accessorizing department so I made the sequinny foldover clutch to go with it.
On a not-so-separate note.. I am a pear-shaped person and I feel this single piece block dresses don’t really suit me that well as opposed to 2-piece dress blocks that are split at the waistline.. do any of you have this same thought as me, or am I just overthinking it? :-/

Nice dress! I am also pear-shaped and I feel the same concerning dresses with or without waistline seams. But I also sew one-piece dresses which I do not find to be too bad on me (I think the difference is not that obvious for other persons than ourselves). In fact, your dress suits you very well and you look stunning in it!
