Welcome to the main reason I haven’t posted many new projects over the last six months or so! I’ve been working on a bedroom redecoration project, and this is my bedspread that I finally finished this week. It was inspired by one I saw years ago in a Coldwater Creek catalog, but I like my finished version way better.
Major credit goes to my quilter mother, without whom I would not have been able to figure out how to do a bit of this.
Cotton, cotton, and more cotton. Oh, and bamboo batting.

The falling leaves reminded me of a cushion I made years ago to give to a friend. It was 45cm square divided into 4 blocks Two of these were in strip patchwork ( at an angle of 45’ ) i.e diagonal. Opposite blocks were plain embellished with appliqued autumn coloured leaves ( two of which bridged over onto the striped squares ( does that make sense ? ) She still has the cushion. Unfortunately that was the days before digital cameras, so I never photographed my work ! Having said all that I thought your quilt very well done.
