At first time I didn’t know what to do with this fabric: orange, wool-like texture and it seems to be “itchy” but I started to play with my sewing machine and a black thread, then I found a brown bias tape that pop out over that plain orange fabric so I attached it with a zigzag stitch and I kind of painted a contemporary and random design with the stitch and the bias.
After all that crazy creation I loved my fabric!!! and that’s the story..the tunic came just as the cold weather started.

It’s simple and yet unique! And I love bright colours in colder weather – the usual greys, black and browns can sometimes get depressing and then – YAY! – a splash of such orange brings a smile onto my face!

This is very creative and I may have to save my boring tunic with your technique. I began a lime jersey tunic ages ago with long sleeves a boat neck and deep cut back… but it ended up being too much green all over so i never finished.
do you have any close up pics of your bias tape detail for reference?
