I can’t deal with big time consuming projects anymore so my current sewing strategy is that the quicker and easier it is, the better.
I love the look of faggoting and I’ve wanted to try it out for ages, but I know that I’ll get so bored with that much handstitching, so I made this dress with inserts instead. I think it looks almost as good as the real deal and took a fraction of the time.
I also had my first go at pintucking, which I’m not sure went all that well.
I’m wearing it with a vintage blue lace slip.

I love this dress! Especially the combination of fagoting and pintucks on the skirt, ingenious.

Lily, it’s lovely! The pintucking looks perfect, and the fake fagotting looks perfectly real, at least very very nice! And I agree with the “as fast as possible”-strategy, I’m in the same kind of phase. Hopefully there will be time (and peace of mind) for more ambitious projects soon too! For the both of us ;-)

Bwahaha I went out and exercised after seeing those pics of you in your yoga outfit! I should save them as my background for thinspiration. Hot!

You are so fabulous and hot! No clue about fagotting, but whatever it is, it looks awesome and you will have to teach me! When I am back in Perth we should start do some sewing together :)

Hahaha! Cheers, Susanne! Are you having a nice time in Germany? This is proper faggoting:

Absolutely, we should have a sewing weekend. I’m trying to make more of an effort with it, have been slack lately.
