Some fabric yo yo’s. When I can’t bear to cut into new or precious fabrics, I’ll usually break into the fabric by making one yo yo. New fabrics in the stash can be intimidating – kind of like an artist faced with a blank canva. I also encouraged my daughter to sew by making some yo yo’s. It’s quick, easy, fun and instantly rewarding. Ultimately they will be used in a quilt.
Fabrics from various FQs and fabric remnants.

That’s a good way of encouraging. :-) I like it, though I usually don’t need to be encouraged… but if it ever happens, I’ll keep it in mind. ;-)
