I’ve been trying to come up with an easy and inexpensive way to create my own fabric labels for quite some time. I tried printing on fabric sheets but the images didn’t hold up after washing. There are many ideas on the web for fabric labels but so many of them require printing the logo on the fabric then cutting, measuring and ironing the four edges. Then sewing them. It seems like a lot of tedious work to me. I’ve come up with a way to avoid all that and produce custom labels for all my handcrafted projects. Get the details by clicking “labels” in credits below.

What a nice idea. I also would like to put my own labels on my self sewed things but never made the effort to do so. Your tutorial seams to be so easy, once you have your stencil, you can paint the label even on the clothing it self… Thank you for posting!

Thanks Sabzarap! And you are right. You can paint the label right onto the clothing too. Just be sure to test the fabric to see if the paint will show on the right side of the garment.

Thanks Michelle! One of the advantages of this is that if you want different logos for different projects, you just make as many as you need. You’re in complete control. There’s no minimum order!
