I made this fabric necklace for my friend Nicole’s birthday. It’s made of some Ugandan “kitenge” cloth that I got when I was in Southern Sudan (on the border of Uganda). I kind of think it looks like funky beads! :) I might try to upload a “how-to” if people are interested.

This looks really cool and your friend looks happy with her gift. Your fabric is beautiful. Thanks for the easy to follow “how to”, I’ve got some african print fabric that I think i will use for this, (unfortunatley I only went to London for mine and didn’t get to travel to Sudan!) I’ve just got to go and get some stuffing now!

Oh and also I forgot to say that I also love the fabric that you used. My boyfriend and I were thinking of going travelling to this part of Africa… I need to remember to leave with an empty suitcase to bring some gorgeous fabric back!! :-)
