This skirt is super special because I made it from a dress that my mom wore to her final high school year dance which makes the fabric 35 years old!! I absolutely love it and it it great quality to have lasted all this time. My mom had a black velvet bodice and the floral fabric was a floor length skirt joined to the bodice. It had a join in the middle hence the join here. I added the gathered lace to the bottom of the skirt.
