this project was based around the idea of “creating your own fabric” so i decided to use newspaper, rippped up into to small little black and white pieces stuck onto contact. once enough ‘material’ was made, i cut it up into pattern pieces and sewed it together. very time consuming ripping all those pieces…
the garment is bad up of two pieces, the bodice(corset style) and a tutu style circle skirt.
im happy with the outcome, its very fun to wear…just not comfy or practicle!

oh thanks for the lovely comment! i made this in year ten, so quite a few years ago now, i was actually looking at it the other day and contemplating whether i should throw it out or not. i think you’ve convinced me not too :)
