A remake of a $5 size 24 thrift store dress to a size 0. I’ve discovered I’m not a huge fan of re-makes – I made this dress over a month ago and I’m still finding ripped threads all over my room. But I really like the way this turned out – I was a little scared to not use a pattern but I couldn’t find one that matched what I had in mind, really.
Sorry there aren’t better pictures – I’ve just been so busy this summer and never got around to taking any more! But I do like this dress. If I add a sweater then it’s definitely long enough for church, and it was great for walking around Washington, D.C.! Modest enough to wear to a senator meet and greet we were thinking about going to, but cool enough for the huge heat waves they were having.
The zipper came with the original dress, and the sash is made from extra skirt fabric.
