I used a 1970’s pattern (McCall’s 3733), and vintage fabric and zipper from my stash to make this dress. The Rayon challis and long sleeves make it pretty cosy. The dress ended up needing a lot of alterations, which made the process a bit complicated. I have to admit though the end result is actually pretty fine. If you want you can visit my blog to read more about my obsession with 1970’s sewing and music.

This looks lovely! I have this pattern, too, and made it out of a ponteroma knit. I had trouble with the fit and should have made it smaller to accommodate the knit. I also could have foregone the zipper. Seeing your version makes me want to give it a go again.

Actually, the fabric has a diagonal print, and it does give the dress a nice vibe.
