My friend was going to be moving in with her boyfriend (which isn’t going to happen for a while after the car accident), so I thought it would be cute to make her an apron. I’m going to make this her Christmas present, since I have no idea if I’ll be able to sew later. My pretty kitty helped out a lot with the sewing process. When I bought the materials, there were two packages of extra wide double fold bias tape left that were the perfect color on clearance. When I was using the tape, one of the packages was mislabled and was actually single fold bias tape! And since it was on clearance, it was out, so I had to get creative. I used an ombre thread for decorative floral stitches to attach the bias tape. I also did a pie echo embroidery design on the front and included her name. I though the colors would turn out better than what actually happened (the beige is far too light for my tastes), but it’s the though that counts, I suppose.
Cotton, double fold bias tape, embroidery thread, button.
