I have a fondness for stripes because they have a way of showing off the architectural elements that I like best.
I made this skirt from six straight-of-grain rectangular panels alternated with six bias-cut triangular panels.
The waistband is nothing more than a straight-of-grain binding.
The invisible zipper falls at a slight angle as it is inserted into one of the skirt’s existing seams.

Wow! Thanks, everyone! This is the first “creation” I’ve posted here, and it’s nice to see that everyone is so complimentary here on burdastyle! I’ll post more soon!

Very interesting. Simple yet somewhat sophisticated. I’d like to see on worn.

I like your idea on how to hide the zipper. I’ll have to remember that.
