This started out life as a second muslin for my T-Shirt Block based on Burda 2012-09-123. It was wearable, but not flattering as the fabric was too thin so I looked like an overstuffed sausage. Not one to waste fabric I decided to cut a new front that has more ease and reuse the rest. Burda 2013-02-113 was perfect: Interesting front with plenty of drape & ease and a back that was fitted like a basic T.
I experimented a bit with adjusting the fitting and the sewing techniques, some of which weren’t quite successful. I’m not sure about the end result either. The color doesn’t really go with anything else in my wardrobe and the boob area isn’t as flattering as I’d hoped. If I were to remake this I’d lower the CF – a deeper V, and pleat instead of gather the bust ease.
