This is a dress which I made for the school dance last winter. It was my first evening dress which I designed from head to toe; the model and patterns are all made from scratch. The dress was inspired by film noir and the fall ’10’s #1 material, black lace.
Silk dupioni (pink wefts, turquoise warp), black lace, glass and plastic pearls
(invisible zipper, silk lining, plastic bones, buckram, tulle)
