Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I talked myself into making a dress for myself to wear to a chapel meal. I had bought the taffeta in 2011 for the same meal in 2012 so this time i was determined! As its winter i wanted to make a bolero jacket and for added sparkle i made it from red lace with a taffeta lining. I had to alter both patterns a lot to get them to fit me, I am a true triangle shape and im now looking for a dress form to help me out in future projects. Sewing for others is easy, sewing for my funny shape is not so! Anyway, the meal got postponed to February due to the weather so we’ll have to wait to see how it wears! Dress from Burda Style 7557, bolero based on Burda 8320 with shorter sleeves and less collar!
