While aimlessly browsing the web I found this free pattern over at Your Style Rocks. It’s called the Eva dress. I really liked the cowl neck front, the draping at the waist and that it has sleeves (great for a blond girl in summer!). Moreover, it has details in the back as well, not just a plain darted bodice like most patterns. So I had to make it!
I used some grey mystery (polyester?) knit I had in my stash for ages (yay stash busting!). It was meant to be a muslin, but it turned out so well I already wore it several times to work and travelling (it doesnt wrinkle). I’m definitely making this dress again in a more summery colour, since it was very easy to put together and extremely comfortable to wear (talk about 3 hours in the TGV).
The button in the back is to hide a hole I accidentally cut in the fabric, pssssst…. :)
