My version of the fabulously easy Estelle handbag, this is my first bag and I love it! I made the top band bigger which made the join of the lining & outer a bit bulky, but you live and you learn!
Used black drill reinforced with interfacing (which turned out to be too stiff), Japanese, Russian doll fabric. Red wine bias binding.
Fashion1 – fabulous pattern making well done :)

Thanks for the comments ladies, yes, most of it was seamed on the overlocker so I didn’t follow the order of the original instructions.
I love the fabric too – I’m so glad I found a good project to use it on.

Thats lovely, I too love the fabric and wondered if you had any left what will you use it on ? I expect your mum would love a bag like that !!! I cannot see from the pics but did you finish your seams on the overlocker ?
