For my first attempt at the Estelle bag I used 100% cotton fabric with Gutermann thread and followed the instructions closely. It’s a great pattern, but the delicacy of the materials makes the final product hard to use as a purse. For my next attempt, I plan to use heavy interfacing, add a zipper closure, and replace the fabric straps with something a bit sturdier.
