Floral girl’s dress with simple bodice and close pleated, half-circle skirt. Inspired by the Sallonneke dress by Jottum.
Bodice was adapted from a New Look pattern (will update with the number when I find it amongst the chaos) and skirt pattern made by me with help from my teacher.
I’m fairly happy with the outcome and Erin loves it, especially because her brother told her she looks beautiful in it.
Textured woven cotton.

It wasn’t really a nightmare (although my little girl sometimes can be) but it took a very long time to press those pleats into place. The top of the skirt is straight and the bottom full, and the pleats were straight then angled about 10cm from the top. It really was worth the effort though.

Boy, I love that skirt!!!! And the whole dress looks lovely, of course! Oh, and I wish I had a gentleman like that compliment my garments!!! :-);-);-) But why is it a nightmare?
