This was one of my favorite project to make. Great pattern. I changed the skirt to be wider at the bottom than the pattern, but kept the waist the same. I also added a cut out, and omitted the ruffle, although I think it wants a ruffle. I wore this to an engagement party, and was hand-stitching in the car on the way there! I used an off-white underlining, and a polyester horsehair hem, two techniques I learned by reading Gertie’s Blog for Better Sewing. Those techniques made the dress look very professional.
