My wife found this material and wanted a dress made out of it. My mother-in-law drafted the pattern, I sewed it. This material has to be the worst I have ever tried to work with. It stretches and shifts so easily that sewing a straight line is almost impossible.
Stretchy nylon with embroidered roses.

Hi Dan: To do easy and sewing straight line you need to put tissue paper between fabrics, sew and then ripper off the rest of the paper. Try to match the color of both(tissue p. & fabric). Good luck on the next-one.

Nice dress! Well done. Could you explain how you did the gathered empire line under the bust? I once wanted to do a similar thing and couldn’t work out how to.

It’s VERY pretty though, even if it was a pain! Lovely dress!
