This will be my friend’s graduation dress. I made it for her as an advanced birthday present.
I used the same pattern as for Hippolytia’s Gown, which is Burda magazine 12/07, No. 104. I just went without the chiffon layer and of course it’s shortened.
It suits her really well, so I hope I will have a picture with her in it soon.
I had to do the skirt part twice because of a stain that wouldn’t go out and I got REALLY frustrated with it because of that, but in the end it turned out very pretty :-)
While doing all of these, I’m discovering how much I love working with silk, but I fear that’s just a little too expensive to use it in all my projects. ;-)
