Burda Style For people who sew
Description
All of us at the BurdaStyle office decided to make our own version of the all time BurdaStyle favorite pattern, the Anda dress.
Emmy wanted to see the Anda as top instead of a dress and here it is! She cut the pattern off about 5 in below the waist and omitted the drawstring casing. She also added a panel at the bottom of the front piece and cut this on the other direction for an altering stripe effect. To get the back piece to fall nicely, she made the back slightly longer than the front.

I really like the play with direction of the stripes. Also, the longer length in the back is a great little style idea that is showing up in ready-to-wear, as well as a throw back to the 80’s. Oops! I’m telling my age. LOL Very nicely done Emmy!
