Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is the first thing I’ve sewn in 9 years! I learned how to sew in middle school and only made a couple things. When I was younger sewing wasn’t “cool”, so I stopped. A few months ago I found burda.com and I was impressed by all their modern patterns. I’m really inspired every time I come to the website.
Anyways, I think this was a good project to get back into sewing and I’m really excited about making sewing a hobby for me. This dress had its challenges (matching all the seam lines, putting in a zipper for the first time, and using lining) and I had to make a lot of alterations along the way, but I’m happy with how it turned out. So I’m going to control myself from pointing out every flaw I see in the dress and say it was a successful return after all these years!

Welcome back!! Your dress is lovely. I have this on my to do pile along with quite a few others lol. Your photos are great as well. We.ve got snow forcast for to.morr so maybe I.ll get some snow pics If its not to cold. I look forward to seeing lots more fab projects.oh and i bet for everyone back then who thought sewing was.nt cool wishes they could sew now.lol.xx
