I made this shirt to test out the Emily shirt pattern. I made a size 42 with no alterations. As you can see from the photos, the shirt is huge! I have a 38" bust so this should be the correct size, but the width around the torso is very generous. I am 5’2" so the excess length is to be expected, since the pattern is for someone 5’6". However, my wife tried it on, and even with her 5’8" it was too long in both torso and sleeve. The cuffs are also much too wide in circumference, They need to be shortened several inches not to fall over my hands.
All that aside, the shirt is stylish and the instructions are excellent, and I definitely will make this shirt again (this time measuring the pattern itself and using a much smaller size).
