Here is the result of the first try of the 1905 Emile Savoye corset Pattern:

For this version, I opted for the use of flat steel boning, the sensation is completely different, much firmer … and comfortable. Waist reduction is facilitated : 1cm more than in Moon version. The gain would probably be higher if the fabrics were thinner.

I cheated! ^ ^
I used the mockup of a classic corset (vertical seams) which I was sure it was my measurements. I put it on me and I traced the lines of the Emile Savoye’s pattern. Then I cut the three pieces of the mockup, I copied on paper and finally I sewed a second mockup. Working in this way, I was sure not to spend too much time to make adjustments…
