Description
I would like today to present to you my new favorite.
It’s a blazer / jacket after the pattern from Burdastyle # 104 – 11/2011 in a petite size.
The highlight is the color – it glows in the shade of emerald gemstone.
In the photos, I really desperate, not available to me in camera, including a digital SLR, could represent the color correctly. It is almost always Petrol.
That annoys me already. How the pros do it? Image editing program?
The cut of the jacket can be really good and easy to sew. The collar is a little complicated, but with time and patience, anything is possible. This is my second jacket that I made and it did really well out of hand.
I have sewn a jacket to wear one No. Bigger also a thick sweater underneath. Now I have definitely sew a closure one, because the jacket is open not so nice (wrinkles in the chest area), I’ll hook-and-loop one stitch to support the cut and the sleeves still make a tick shorter. I hope than fits better.
Why is it my favorite?
1. The Color
2. The cut (slight peplum – makes beautiful hourglass figure)
3. The diversity in the combination. Whether sporty, classic, casual. Pants, skirt or dress.
In the photos, I wear it with a dark blue dress, Pumps – Classic
Sporty with jeans and white blouse, I like it best with black. Here I am wearing a close-fitting trousers made โโof corduroy (H&M) with a basic shirt.
What do you like best?
(sorry for my english – I used a translator program, it’s been too long that I have learned English and home and at work, I use it too little)

Thank you!
The cut goes well. I have not changed anything. I am 160 cm standard size. The sleeve length I find a bit too long. But that is easy to modify.
Have fun while sew and greetings from Germany

Love your green version of this …. in fact I’d missed this totally in the magazine so thanks for bringing this jacket to my attention….I’m all for those petite patterns – save a whole lot of muslin work!
